St. Nicholas Community Service Project
The St. Nicholas Community has partnered with Virginia Beach City Public Schools and the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia to be a part of the Beach Bag Program. This program provides food to children in the VBCPS System and their families over the weekend. These children receive Free/Reduced Breakfast and Lunches throughout the school week and will now have the opportunity for nutritious meals outside of school. The children will receive a “back pack” of food items each Friday to take home with them. The St. Nicholas Community is asked to bring in specific items on the list and turn them into the basket in the Narthex. Monetary donations will also be accepted (if you choose this option it is helpful if you can clip some coupons for the items needed and turn them in with your donation).
